It was no surprise that I would wake up to the sound of Natilie getting ready for work; and today was a special day since she had to be out in the Westside by 5, meaning she'd have to be up around 3 to get ready. And here I am.

I knew it was pretty bad, for when I approached the kitchen window, there was a slight haze in the air. I thought to myself, "Wow, I'm not sure I can remember the last time I saw it coming down like this...at least when I wasn't driving!" So imagine my surprise to see all this junk fall onto my car. It's like magic coming down from the sky! Was this sleet? No, they were just little tiny bits of hail, and fortunately, it looked as though these little buggers didn't cycle through the clouds a million times to get to the size of baseballs. Instead, they came down in these cute little Dippin' Dots sized pellets that made it all cute-like looking. I called Nat from her room, and she was aware of the craziness, but told her to look out to our cars to see they look as though they've been frosted over like it happens during Winter in other parts of the world.
As Nat was leaving, I decided to go out and take pictures of all the craziness. Thankfully, the actual hail was done with, but there was a good amount of rain coming down. I bundled up as best as I [hurriedly] could, and just started snapping away without really being able to see what I was taking a picture of.
Well, I guess that was worth getting up for. Now I can ride this awake thing for a bit until I get sleepy enough to go back to bed and have nightmares. You can check out the rest of my images from LOS ANGELES STORMWATCH 2008 by clicking here.
Frozie Bit Update (5:47): There's a good amount of frozie bits still accumulated on the bottom of my windshield. Yikes, it's that cold out there!
