Don't Let It Go Away...

I may be really off on this one...I wouldn't think so...

But it seems that I have this thing where certain songs trigger me. No, this is nothing like in Zoolander when Derek is trained to kill the Prime Minister of Malaysia when he hears "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. It's more like as soon as I hear a particular tune, I all of a sudden get this feeling that I MUST. SING. SONG. Typically I would actually be singing it, no matter how low I'd be singing it, but something just clicks in my head, causing me to sing it.

It happened today, when I was at work calling a mother. Tricia's Pandora station is a pretty good one (even though it's just now playing a Jewel song), and "New" by No Doubt came on...and I started singing it. This was a very dangerous move on my part, I had no idea if someone was going to pick up at that moment or not. Instead, I just lip synced to the song, because that's all I could do. I couldn't stop myself...but when the voicemail picked up, I was able to break from that trance and leave a message.

I'm curious if this is just me...and if there are other songs that would cause me to do such a thing.

I LOVED Gwen's hair during the Return of Saturn era.

On that note, I heard "I Touch Myself" by the Divinyls for the first time in a long time...that is, actually hearing it sung by the Divinyls. Last time I actually heard that song, Natilie and I were singing it. It's been a while. They sing it really well, and I should leave that job to the pros maybe...
