AUTUMN!

Today is autumn. It's the feeling in the air. The sun is still sunny and bright, and it's cool and it's time to bust out the light jackets! HOORAY! There are even some trees that have color in their leaves that isn't green, but I think that's more because it's been so damn hot the the poor thing is dying. Forgive me for chuckling if I mock those with scarves already (not the fashion ones, but like the keeping from freezing ones). Then again, that may be me, for I woke up all achy and with that particular lump in my throat...nice.

But we all know that seasons don't really exist in LA except for the fashion. I pretty much wear the same exact outfits, just with maybe a layer underneath and some outerwear. Heck, I'm still in slippers. But you know what's cool? PLACES WITH SEASONS!

I was lucky to spend this time of year in New York a few years back, more amazingly, I took a few trips to the pretty part of Jersey (from Joysee) and it was amazing to watch the urban landscape change to true autumn with the leaves turning and falling and piles being made where people jump and play in those things (which I grew up dreaming about doing, only when we did it, our tree was full of spiders and ants and that just seriously freaked me out from ever wanting to do it again), and it was pretty darn cool to see this stuff happen in Europe, too.

...now that I think about it, it's really funny how season-turning is so exotic for an Angelina like me, where most people probably look to LA to be some cool, great-weather place.

Oh well. I'll enjoy wearing my slippers year-round.

But oh, I forgot one thing...cool weather, dry air...you know what that means!
