I Saw what Could Have Been

This is a summary of my week:

WORK: workworkworkworkworkworkrkrkworkworkwowo - Yes, it's been so crazy that compounds and overlaps upon itself

HOME: workworkworkworkwork *nap with kitty* workworkworkworkwork - I've been concentrating on my own personal project, it's madness, except for kitty naps time.

SOCIAL LIFE: workworkwork - ?!??! Yes, I go to friend's work to wait until work is done, and in the meantime, possibly do what I need to do for HOME. Instead, my input is needed, and I wind up reviewing a proof for a very important brochure my friend's been working on. So I do copy and layout notes for the whole time there.

Funny thing is, had things unfolded differently in the recent past, I would have been doing that exact thing around this time, except I'd be getting paid for it. It's a bit crazy to think that the brochure I was editing probably would have been created by me, as I would have been in charge of planning the whole retreat.

My friend is going crazy having to deal with all of it, and I feel badly, thinking that I would have helped prevented a lot of crazy-making if I was around to help out, and I would have been more than happy to do it. Not to mention, I really wouldn't have minded spending a week in Edinburgh.
