I was able to catch a glimpse of the Dodgers/Milwaukee game on Tuesday, but at that time, things were looking bleak for the boys in blue, and I couldn't really pay attention, for it was better I paid better attention to the company I was keeping since I didn't know when I'd see them next. Except my roommate, who was watching the game.
More importantly, I missed the Lakers game on Wednesday. I knew they were going to win, since they were coming home and they must have gotten fired up enough after losing two games in a row to not give the Jazz the lead.
But yesterday was a tough one for me. Not only was it the very important game 6 for the Lakers-Jazz series, where a Lakers victory would put them in the semi-fimals, but it was also the first game of the freeway series for the Dodgers and Angels. I really wanted to go to one game from the freeway series this year, since I never have, and cheer my Dodgers on to victory while at the same time continue to heckle Brett Tomko, who is now on the Angels and it's a little more justifiable to give him a hard time.
I really wanted to set my "free day" from the show for Friday, but after telling some friends about the show (whose opening night went great, though mistakes were made as only the ones who made the show could notice), one actually expressed interest and wanted to go on Friday, and I wasn't about to go on a separate night, particularly since I haven't seen her in months. Thank most things male for fiancees and boyfriends, who even though were
I was excited to hear that news as we were leaving the reception, and had I been more coherent, I would have made my friend come with me to the brewery down the street just to see the rest of the game. But instead, I just drove us back to my place, where she went straight home after her really rough day (woke too early at 9am still drunk from the night before, called me at the beach about an hour later, and went into work at 2, colored some tiles and got off work early at 6 to make the show). I could have driven back to some bar or walked down the street where they may have had the game, but I did the same thing I've done every night upon going home: passed out in my clothes with the lights on.
I'm sad to see that the Dodgers have lost three of the last 5 games they've played, and that they lost their first game against the Angeles. I think I need to make arrangements to that I can watch game two today in an appropriate setting.

lakers had a big lead for the most part, but only won by 3 dumb points. but they won. and it puts them into the conference finals since they were already in the (conference) semifinals. but conferences are dumb too.
p.s. come look at our den!
Yeah, I was excited to hear they were winning by so much at the half, and then was surprised that they won with AVERYCLOSEMARGIN. And it was frustrating to read it all happened in the fourth quarter.
They're in the Western Conference Finals, now. But they're in the entire league's semi-finals. Yes.
And I'm sad to know that Bynum is going into surgery. Hopefully he'll be recovered by next season. Imagine the Lakers if he wasn't injured...then again, we wouldn't have gotten Pau-Pau probably.
I only want to see the den if Mia still has hiding places. Did you get rid of the old, HP printer?
they don't use the term semi-finals when talking about the conference finals is my point.
bynum will be healed in time for next season. they just need to clean it up.
you're taking a nap right now. hallo.
