A Little Quickie

I'm not dressed and running late, but in response to a comment on my previous entry, I thought I should give a quick update on what's been going on in my little world of me:

-The mouse was dropped off in a heavily-shrubbed area I know mice frequent. I wish it the best. I cleaned out the trap, so if anyone has their own little mouse guest, let me know.

-Being at The Getty Center on a Monday is perhaps the closest thing I can experience of being a part of an isolated and serene castle. Being there on a Monday when it's closed to the public was a real treat.

-I've been running on empty: Friday, I technically ran out of gas and drove around the hilly Westside on empty for about 30 miles before I refueled on Saturday. with all the environmentally-evil driving I've been doing (including a wild goose chase around The Vally to find a US post office that accepts credit cards AND international parcels), I had to refuel last night having run on empty for 20 miles, but went well over 300 miles on 9+ gallons of petrol.

-The Internet and I haven't been spending much time together. Aside all the errand running, I've also had bad connections, and I've been spending lots of time distracting friends from their lives so I can eat food they cook for me and drink their wine.

-I don't even have enough random thoughts nowadays to drop in this blog. Most, if not all my energy has been devoted the preparation for the show work is having on Saturday. Murphy's Law has been in full effect for the past few weeks, and all of a sudden things are coming together in this last week...but that doesn't make things any easier.

On Today's Plate: Schmoozing with a parking structure manager so that our audience can park somewhere and not anger the city of Culver City by littering their residential areas with cars, designing a "program" for the show that incorporates the schematic plans of the frame that's being used as the dancers' stage and trying to find space in a finally sold out show.

Things are good, but extremely crazy. After this show, I'll be in process to photograph a show my friends have put together/choreographed/performing.

Up Next: I have this dire need to skip town and get the hell out of Los Angeles, even if for a day. I need to de-contextualize myself from this crazy, yet uneventful live I've been living as of late.
