Following a conversation I had yesterday, I'm not one with much of a sweet tooth, but every now and then, I do find myself craving something sweet after a meal. Usually, that happens around that time of the month. Chocolate, which I'm not obsessed with, oftentimes becomes my best friend.
Today after breakfast, just as I finished washing the dishes, I had this sudden urge for something sweet. I knew that finding something that would satisfy my craving would be tough - since I don't eat sweets that often, I don't keep many around. Completely forgetting that Natilie had a cookie tray of strange-looking biscuits with cinnamon on top of them, I went to the cupboard to see what I could find.
And I struck gold. There was a box of Girl Scouts Thin Mints in there. The only thing that would have been better if I found it in the freezer and some soy milk in the fridge. I was happy either way, and had a nice little time eating a thin mint or few.
While I was slowly nibbling on one, the thought crossed my mind about how awesome and funny it would be to stockpile Girl Scouts cookies (like some people do), and actually give them away to people on the off-season as presents, like when going to someone's home for dinner or something and have that as a gift for the host. Last night, we were talking about benefits, auctions and raffles and about things from here and there that can be used to give away, and I'm sure that a well-preserved batch of GS cookies would be the hot commodity, especially right now.
Hell, I'd think a great birthday present would be a nice, chilled box of thin mints with a box of soy milk. Depending on my mood and whether I share, that one box may last me a good long time.
