That was really bad.
I'm not sure what would be worse: only being able to see out of one eye, or having one eye with normal vision and the other with poor vision. Towards the end of the work day, I was definitely feeling the strain in my head.
It's not a simple matter of closing my left eye to be able to see out of my "good" eye. It got tiring having to close just one eye, so it was better for me to cover the other eye, which makes typing and multitasking a little difficult. If I did have both eyes open, I'd have this interesting mix of having a clear image with a halo of blurriness around it. It was cool in a way, but not when trying to do work.
Or drive home at dusk.
That alone, in LA traffic, was SO not safe. I mean, it wasn't very difficult, but it was challenging. When changing lanes or turning, I couldn't help but have to try looking with both eyes, I needed that extra help to evaluate depth perception (I'm already poor with it to begin with). It is rather scary having to depend on the lights of cars to determine their location in relation to your own, but having your perception of them half-fuzzy.
I feel like I should nap or sleep just to give both eyes equal treatment. I'm wearing glasses now, but I can definitely feel the fatigue in my left eye having to try to eke a decent image out of it.

I've been listening to the Silversun Pickups a lot lately, especially this song.
I'm really glad you made it home safely.
I really need to listen to them again. Better yet, I really want to see them live again. They play such a great live show.
I think I am glad, too. Maybe I can recreate what it looked like to drive half-blind.
