We'll Never Feel Bad Anymore...

Maybe it wasn't the best idea to take four cameras and ten rolls of film on a 9 day vacation. Although I know I have the capability to burn film like it's nothing, I'd like to think I have some sense of self-control, but as it turns out I don't.

I at least have one day's worth of pictures organized and up. I just discovered that I can upload images to Flickr on completely private and then later make them public once I have them all organized the way I like it. I'd like to put them in chronological order, which wouldn't be so bad had I shot entirely digital. Since I did shoot film, took all my C-41* film to Target for processing and put on a photo CD, the timestamps created from those make it a little more difficult; particularly how different cameras load the film on different sides from the lens, things get scanned off the roll differently based on orientation.

In the meantime, I've grabbed all my mama's 500+ pics she took (only digital) for you to get an idea how the whole trip was based on her perspective.

I just hope that all my pics are well worth the wait. I guess that's what you'll have to find out for yourself...

...and yes, the image in this entry is a picture of my legs, and it looks as though my dad is looking at me as if he's disgusted that I'm out in public wearing that, and it looks like my mom ain't having it. Despite the fact the shot has my butt and legs in it, I like this picture.

*I knowingly took 9 rolls of C-41 film with me, which included black & white c-41 film. Two of my cameras was preloaded before the trip, and once I finished those rolls, I discovered they had proper black & white film in them. So I'll have to take that to a proper place to get those processed and scanned, since I don't have access to a darkroom right now. It's a bit tricker, since I loaded the film myself (as in, I bought a reusable canister and a bulk roll of film and loaded the film into the film reel itself to put in the camera...it saves money), which means I would prefer to get the canisters back (yes, they're relatively cheap, but I have attachments to my Donald and Goofy rolls). But anticipate at least 70 shots coming from the two of them, as my average self-loaded roll of film can yield about 40 exposures each...
