BOO Weekend Plans

SATURDAY: I woke up at 6am with a pounding headache. I guess one drink too many and not enough water was the result of that. Took 2 Tylenol with some cherry limeade and tried to go back to sleep. Unfortunately, I had to be at my parent's so we could go to a baby shower, which left me no time to actually go running after all the day's activities.

SUNDAY: Natilie wanted to go running with me since we both were too busy to do it the day before, but she didn't want to go in the morning. That slightly disappointed me, because I'd prefer going earlier than later, even though it's been pretty nice to go running when it was slightly warmer. Instead, we were planning on going running after she hung out with someone in the afternoon, so I waited. By the time she came home and we were ready, we got to the park around sunset.

After Friday and the pain we both associated with it, we agreed that we try having faster walks but easier runs. We had this back and fourth trying to claim the other was the one that was making ourselves go faster. It was a lot of "No! Your pace is faster so I needed to keep up!" "No, you're faster because of your competitive nature and I wanted to make sure I don't get behind!" "No! youw ere the fast one because I don't to this fast unless I'm with you!" "No, I just freak out because you just start running!" Needless to say, we were pretty scared about running because we really didn't want to feel the same way as Friday, as Natilie's lungs were burning after that run (it was a rather smoggy day).

It was very pretty, and the weather was cool, but the park also closes at sunset and they really do enforce that closing time by kicking people out.

We only got to do our walk lap and probably 1/4 of a lap afterwards, a lot of which we jogged just because we weren't going to run much else. Yeah, I was slightly disappointed about that, too.

SUNDAY, 20 January 2008
LAP 1: 19.46.87
LAP 2: 08.23.23 (Partial)
TOTAL: 28.10.10

Based on the time we did on that partial, it looks as though we covered a lot of track on that partial lap, and it may have been closer to 1/3 a lap instead of 1/4.

Oh well.
